For the past three years, I have been a part of the senior leadership of NYU Shanghai, the first Sino-US joint research university. My responsibilities include developing and implementing an integrated external affairs strategy and recruiting a multicultural team of professionals in marketing, public affairs, digital communications and local community.

Organized and directed a division with an annual budget of $9 million and a staff of 85 charged with both internal and external communications strategy and practices.

Designed communications strategies and managed large-scale advocacy campaigns on behalf of countries, companies and individuals.

Advised the Secretary General and the institution’s various political bodies on all aspects of external relations. Established the office of External Relations, oversaw the Department of Public Information, and managed relations with observer countries and non-governmental organizations.

Responsible for the overall management of international division with clients throughout Latin America, in Europe and in Russia.

Conceptualized and anchored a weekly national television show with a primary focus on congressional newsmakers, policy analysis and events.

Responsible for legislation regarding US conduct of Foreign Affairs, the management and budgets of the Department of State and related programs, including international communications issues.
