Working as a server provided me extensive experience in regard to customerservice. Waiting on tables required me to be detail oriented, promotehospitality, and improve time management. As a server, I was responsible forunderstanding and explaining the menu to guests, containing knowledgeabout potential allergens, modifications, and preparatory steps.

The key responsibilities of the Assistant General Manager included the creationof staff schedules, monitoring inventory, and keeping track of employeeprogress. This position provided valuable knowledge in regard to how thebusiness functions and what criteria the store needed to meet in order to beprofitable. As the AGM, I continued to broaden my customer service,communication, and leadership skills.

As a shift supervisor, I was given more authority and responsibility within thestore. This position required me to manage team members, dictate storepositions, and communicate store goals. This position provided me experiencewith conflict resolution in regards to both employees and customers. Shiftsupervisors were also in charge of setting sales goals, training staff, andenforcing quality standards.

As a team member, I collaborated with my peers to work as a group toefficiently and effectively complete guest’s orders. We focused on completingsaid orders in a timely manner and emphasized positive customer servicerelations & interactions. Other skills learned include: cash handling, sales, &food safety.
