Directed the development and implementation of information technology and resources for UMass Amherst’s Division of Outreach, which included application programming, database management, website programming, analytics, e-commerce, and multimedia resources. Supervised five employees. Oversight of annual IT development budget. Represented division and liaised in all information technology matters on campus and within regional and national contexts. Managed data center and external server assets consisting of 8 Windows and two Linux servers. Served as Co-chair of the Outreach Strategic Plan Resource Development/IT committee and on the executive steering committee.Accomplishments:• Served as project manager and technical lead to deploy Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft SharePoint.• Led effort to convert, refactor, and redeploy Continuing Education course registration on Joomla open source CMS platform.

Designed, deployed, and coordinated the creation/revision of over 40 websites on behalf of Extension, UMass Amherst colleges and departments, and partnering organizations. Increased organizational network capacity from one to four servers. Co-authored the UMass Extension Information Technology Plan. Directed initiative to redeploy the Division of Continuing & Professional Education website after the online registration service was compromised in the spring of 2004. Served on the e-Extension IT Committee to devise the initial technical specifications for a national Extension web portal.Accomplishment:• Built the first University-approved e-commerce solution for Extension bookstore that generated the equivalent of 33% of overall gross revenues in its first year of operation.

Assisted lead instructor in lesson planning and rubric design for a two-trimester Foundations of Technology Management course and facilitated supplementary classroom and online discussions. Responsible for evaluation, assessment, and progress monitoring for 16 students. Worked with the Internet Services Manager in the development of a strategic workshop series. Led workshops, during which specific e-business needs of clients were identified and investigated. Drafted reports on clients’ behalf containing recommendations and suggested strategies from discovery sessions and analysis of secondary market research. Designed and executed online promotional campaigns for selected clients. Spearheaded an initiative to identify public relations firms and marketing agencies to partner with Banta Integrated Media.
