During my summer internship at Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), I had the opportunity to work alongside a diverse team, including four other interns, associate consultants, senior associate consultants, associate managers, business developers, executives, producers, vice presidents, and presidents. This experience provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the insurance sector and the various departments within MMA. While primarily focused on the Business Insurance field, I was also exposed to Employee Health and Benefits, Health Management, Sales, Marketing & Communications, and more. My responsibilities included assisting in the development of renewal proposals, invoicing, servicing client accounts, working with the claims department and adding endorsements to policies. Additionally, I worked on benchmarking and creating tools and solutions to address client issues.Throughout the internship, I strengthened my skills in people management, time management, presentation, and problem-solving. I completed three significant projects: a national project in collaboration with interns from across the country, focusing on learning and development; a local project involving a mock presentation to a prospective client, delivered in front of the executive team; and a risk management portfolio for a client, utilizing data analytics and past claims data to develop solutions to mitigate their risks.
