The Center for Environmental Sciences and Engineering Graduate Research Assistantship responsibilities include:-Receive in-depth training on the use of the Nikon AZ100 microscope from a Nikon specialist and prepare a user-friendly lab manual outlining the basic steps required to use the microscope for palaeoenvironmental applications.-Use the AZ100 to assist in measuring and documenting of macrobotanical remains from a Chalcolithic site in Armenia.-Creating a phytolith and starch grain comparative collection of Near Eastern plants.-Help prepare a series of three workshops and three lectures to be presented to children and adults through the Connecticut State Museum of Natural History.
