The objective of this internship was to automate the entire FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) additive manufacturing process. The key tasks involved in achieving this goal were:1. State-of-the-art review of the entire process:- Conducting a comprehensive analysis of existing FDM printing techniques, technologies, and best practices.2. Research work for the development of a printing bed meeting mechanical, thermal, and fatigue requirements:- Performing research and analysis to design and construct a printing bed that meets specific mechanical, thermal, and fatigue specifications.- Ensuring the bed is capable of providing stable and reliable printing conditions for optimal print quality.3. Development of an experimental procedure for determining the composition of a composite bed:- Designing and implementing an experimental procedure to identify the optimal composition of a composite printing bed.- Conducting tests and analyses to evaluate the performance and suitability of different composite materials for the bed.4. Work on print monitoring using deep learning and transfer learning techniques:- Exploring and implementing deep learning and transfer learning algorithms for real-time monitoring of the printing process.- Developing a system that can detect and analyze potential printing defects or issues, enabling proactive intervention and quality control.Throughout the internship, a combination of research, experimentation, and data analysis was required to automate and optimize the FDM printing process. By leveraging state-of-the-art techniques and technologies, the goal was to enhance efficiency, reliability, and print quality in additive manufacturing.

The key tasks involved in this project are:Improvement of a non-conformity management tool at the NPP:Evaluate the existing non-conformity management system and identify areas for improvement.Propose enhancements to the tool, such as user interface improvements, automation of processes, and integration of relevant data.Development of a forecast schedule for the production of documents related to aging management of 6 nuclear units:Collaborate with the engineer to develop a comprehensive plan and timeline for creating documents related to aging management.Coordinate with various stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure timely completion of the documents.Throughout the internship, you will work closely with the engineer to assist in the implementation of modernization efforts for non-conformity management at the NPP. This will involve analyzing the existing system, proposing improvements, and developing a strategic schedule for the production of documents related to aging management.
