East coast guy in the West coast wilds. I'm changing lanes with the skill set I've built over the last decade. The move from Massachusetts to California was hard at best and disorienting at worst but I managed to throw myself into this new life with my BA in English and rose through the hospitality industry. With each job worked, the bankable skills followed me into the next. Starting in a nightclub in DTLA, then to a boutique hotel in Santa Monica, a membership lounge for the Hollywood elite and finally landing for the past five years managing a mis sized staff at an incredibly popular bar and restaurant two blocks away from The Staples Center right back in DTLA! The owners had nowhere else to promote me so they hired me on to their Tequila company, El Sativo in a sales position. Unfortunately due to covid-19 that was put on hold about six months in. I did however manage to open up double digit accounts in DTLA and Central LA.Recently I've added more to my tool belt in the way of door to door solar sales negotiating prices and closing deals in the first week. At this time I'm ready to translate my negotiations and people skills back to the industry I had left in NH. Currently I'm seeking a Buyer position here in California with a company I can grow and grow old with.When I'm not on the grind I'm constantly writing an ever growing collection of short stories and full novels or more frequently getting scared to sleep by the one and only Stephen King. Huge fan of hosting large gatherings (or however large they can be at this point) for dinner parties and cocktail nights.
