Librarian
Current● Assist patrons with technology such as patron computers, locate material using onlinecatalogues, digital databases, and by using integrated library systems and interlibrary loans● Maintain library material through the use of RFID technology● Provide one-on-one assistance with patrons with personal devices in Book-A-Librarian sessions● Plan and conduct library programing for teens and adults centered around popular culture and technology● Uses leadership skill to work in conjunction with other supervisors to manage a team thatprovides public library services to the local community● Manages and maintains the reservations and applications for meeting spaces provided by thelibrary● Develops and maintains graphic novels and manga reader’s advisory lists and reading orders forpatrons● Offers collection development and maintenance recommendations on various fiction andnonfiction topics to Branch Manager● Advises on Collection Development for graphic novels, including but not limited torecommending titles for purchase based on community reviews and sales data, weeding,identifying gaps in the collection, repairs, and recommendations for cataloging updates● Support and manage staff in closing procedures, security scenarios, and general day to daysituations when the Assistant Manager and Manager were not present
