I have overall responsibility for the Civil Design and Estimating of all Water and Waste Water projects for MEIC ltd/ Glan Agua ltd as part of the Mota Engil Group. The role requires the skills to coordinate and integrate the process, mechanical, electrical and civil team into a robust and fit for purpose turn key solution for our Clients.

Acting Design Certifier on behalf of MEIC ltd /Glan Agua ltd on projects that must comply to SI no 9 of Building Control Regulations Amendments 2016

I am responsible for the compilation of all type of tenders, including DBO, DB, and framework tenders with the existing tender team. Compilation of large tenders and management of the necessary resources from process, MEICA, civil, structural and environmental. Management of design risk as part of an efficient and innovative tender design process. Implementing advanced designs to all aspects of tenders as required in the new age of tender submissions.Utilising the experience gained in the Project Management of large scale Water and Waste Water infrastructure to determine how best the company approaches projects.

The Project Manager for the Fethard Section of the Burncourt & Fethard Water Supply Scheme. Duties as Project Manager included;- Co-ordination of Design in line with the Employers requirements and allowable budgets.- Management of all aspects of construction, programme, budget, quality,health & safety.The scheme is being developed for the purpose of providing a supply of treated water between Slievenamon and the old North Tipperary County border, serving a number of towns and villages in the area, including Fethard, Burncourt, Killenaule, Mullinahone and Ballingarry.The new Fethard Water Treatment Plant will be located in an area of commercial forestry approximately located approximately 7.6 km east-south-east of Fethard and will be designed to treat 6,500 m3 of raw water per day.The Fethard scheme will include the installation of abstraction works and a pumping station at the Anner River as well as the upgrading of 3 no. existing sources, located in the townland of Walshbog, approximately 5 km south-east of Fethard.Raw water will be stored on site at the Fethard WTP before gravity fed through a DAF clarification process. Treated water will be stored onsite in a twin cell reservoir which will supply the area by gravity.The new Burncourt Water Treatment Plant will be located at Glengarra Wood, 2 km northwest of the village of Burncourt, Co. Tipperary. The Burncourt scheme will include the construction of a new abstraction works on the Burncourt River with the intention of supplying 2,600 m³ of raw water to the treatment works per day.Raw water from the Burncourt River will be delivered to the treatment plant by gravity flow and stored on site before being pumped through a DAF clarification process. Treated water will be pumped to a nearby reservoir before being gravity fed to the existing water supply network.

Project Manager for the South Roscommon Regional Water Supply Scheme (SRRWSS) – Lisbrock and Killeglan WTPs which formed part of the 4 Roscommon DBO Water Supply Schemes. Duties as Project Manager included;- Co-ordination of Design in line with the Employers requirements and allowable budgets.- Management of all aspects of construction, programme, budget, quality,health & safety.The general scope of works and objective of the Contract is outlined as follows:Development of the production wells/springs including chambers, pumps, rising mains to the WTP and associated telemetry.The development of Hughestown wellfield including the production wells & chambers, control building and pump house.The provision of five Water Treatment Plants and associated water pumping facilities in four out of five WTPs.To provide appropriate barriers to Cryptosporidium in accordance with the EPA ‘Water Treatment Manual: Disinfection’, published in November 2011; and to reduce the risk of Cryptosporidium to low risk level in accordance with the EPA Cryptosporidium Risk Assessment Methodology.The treatment and disposal of any sludge and wastes generated.The provision of a booster pumping station at Rockhill (ARWSS).Instrumentation and telemetry, metering and sampling equipment.Review and upgrading of existing infrastructure.To design & build water level instrumentation, outlet bulk meter and outlet sampling on the distribution outlet from the existing Reservoirs.The interim operation and maintenance of these facilities during DB Phase.Operation and maintenance of existing and new facilities for a 20 year O&M period.Operation and maintenance of some rising mains, constructed by others, for the 20 years operation and maintenance period

Project Management, Responsible for all aspects of the contract;Surveying leaks and New Installs, Generation of Data Base and Installation Sheets, Planning and Management of crews Executing the works, Cost Control, Accounts, Management of Contractual Issues.

Construction of a New 4600 cubic metre in situ Concrete Reservoir and Associated Ancillaries.Refurbishment works to the Existing Reservoir.

Senior Site Agent for the construction and commission of 16no Water Treatment Plants for Galway County Council including reservoirs, raw water abstraction facilities from springs, lakes, and boreholes.

Civil Design Engineer for the Roscommon DBO bundle no 1 which included 7no Water Treatment Plants and Reservoirs.Civil Design Engineer for the Galway DBO bundle no 2 which included 16no Water Treatment Plants and Reservoirs.Both projects had to be brought from concept stage through planning permission and a detail design stage up to commencement of construction.Design of Specialised Abstraction Facilities including large scale Boreholes.

Design of the Civil aspects of the project, including Piling Works, Reinforced Concrete Slabs, Concrete Holding Tanks, Inlet Screens, Pumping Chambers, Overflow Facilities for a Combined Sewer Network.Project Management of the Construction phase including the Collection Network, Reed Beds to act treat the Sludge Generation from the D.A.F units. and commission of the Letterfrack and Clonbur Sewerage Treatment Plants and construction of the associated collection network.

The Generation of a Working Data Base for all Non Domestic Water Meters in the County of Kilkenny. This involved a site survey of each location.Generation of a Installation sheet which included details such as location, type of installation, Pipe size, Reinstatement Requirement, Traffic Management Requirement.Supervision of Installations.Commissioning the installed meters and transponders and updating the Working Data Base with all the relevant Agresso numbers etc.

Construction of the Clonmel Rural Water Supply Scheme treatment plant, reservoir and associated ground works.Ground works associated with accommodation extension at Shelton Abbey Co Wicklow which included demolition works. Construction of all ground works, services , foundations for a 48 housing development in Thurles, Co Tipperary.

Development of the IDA Industrial Park Westport Co Mayo.
