• Managed the product engineering issues affecting the assembly line.• Prepared bills of material and utilized Unigraphics CAD software to update machining and installation drawings to ensure truck parts were ordered and assembled correctly. • Managed the backlog of product design concerns using a small group of engineers. • Mentored new engineers and checked the drawings and bills of material of other engineers in the department for approval. This included checking that the part’s design met ITEC standards as well as checking that GD&T was used correctly.• Provided engineering support for the assembly line when design or assembly instructions were in question and subsequently modified drawings, bills of material, or assembly instructions accordingly. • Set up customer specific features to be assembled on trucks built at the Garland assembly plant. • Supported materials and planning groups by identifying part substitutions when shortages occured.
