Current• Serve as an authority and consultant for Naval Station Mayport offices concerning various aspects of system administration, maintenance, modification, and development of systems software and complex telecommunications. • Oversee all systems maintenance, repair, and inventory activities, as well as software and hardware enhancements for assigned field sites. • Delivers a full range of customer support services to the organization; inclusive of configuration, installation, and maintenance of IT equipment and systems such as desktops, laptops, government furnished devices, virtual devices (workstations, and applications), printers, and faxes as well as any other IT support or relevant work. • Applies a comprehensive knowledge of systems integration, performance tuning, evaluation methods and procedures, and project management principles sufficient to maintain, plan and coordinate the installation of new products or equipment.• Installs, configures, and tests system software and hardware as well as software on workstations.• Appraises network for preventative maintenance, upgrades and support of servers; utilizes problem solving skills to test, diagnose and recover failed systems, providing resolutions as issues are identified.• Responsible for performing "Break/Fix" troubleshooting on remote devices and network devices to include simple to complex installation, add, or change requirements of peripherals and device drivers.• Prioritize and schedule areas to be evaluated and develop assessment criteria.• Analyze findings and develop long-range options for security systems that minimize risks, mitigates vulnerabilities, prevents cyber security incidents, and help insure systems reliability.• Perform operation and management duties for Legacy computer systems.• Determine possible resolutions for problems that are elevated beyond the Help Desk or problems in which the end user is not completely satisfied.
