About Thomas Chamney

I am a former professional athlete who competed at the top level of world athletics for several years before turning my attention to business opportunities upon my retirement from sport. In 2013 I started my own company, Madricki Vittles AB, focusing on opportunities in the food/beverage sector with the creation of a fast-casual Mexican street food restaurant (trading as TomToms Burritos), which over the course of my 9 years running the company expanded to two outlets, two food trucks and a catering operation. Pre-pandemic the company had a consistent record of year on year growth to both turnover and profit. During the pandemic my management and sales strategies were notable in maintaining strong profits despite difficult trading conditions. I successfully negotiated an exit from that company in January 2023.I also co-founded a brewery visitor centre (Vega Bryggeri) with the aim being to capitalise on the recent growth in ‘beer tourism’ as well as cater to the local market for catering/events/public openings. I was instrumental in the development of the project from concept to completion as well as driving operations for the first two years of the business' trading.I have now taken a position with the world's leading sports fuel company, Maurten where I work with distributor and sports marketing support.
