valleyRally.com was my first try at entrepreneurship. In 2003, my wife was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease, Celiac Disease. This was before strict allergy labeling requirements on food packaging, which made the lifestyle change associated with a Gluten-free diet very difficult adapt to. In 2007, I built ValleyRally.com as a way to help connect her with other people who were also struggling with Celiac Disease. Although, sadly, I shut ValleyRally.com down for good in 2013, it grew to 500+ users and included stories on topics beyond Celiac Disease. Our mission at Valley Rally was to become the premier place for anyone who needed help finding the confidence and inspiration to persevere through a problem.Responsibilities included: web development using PHP and MySQL, online and offline advertising, search engine optimization (SEO), accounting with Quickbooks, logo design, ensuring legal protection of intellectual property, and overall business administration.

The assembly was delivered to the NAVY on time and under budget. Responsibilities included component selection, analog and digital circuitry design, schematic and drawings development, environmental testing support, troubleshooting and test procedures development. Developed software drivers for new hardware in LabVIEW, and implement an analog feedback system in software to increase the analog accuracy of our test equipment. The Analog feedback design increased the system’s accuracy by 200 times.Tasked to test an upgraded version of tactical software by developing a LabVIEW software application. The testing revealed 2 major problems: incorrect analog calibration, and lack of alarming at specified alarm points. Skills included software design using LabVIEW, knowledge of C++ code for debugging, knowledge of VME technology, knowledge of analog calibration theory, and knowledge of analog in-bounds/out-of-bounds testing theory.
