As the team and customer demands grew, I led my team through several waves of reorganizations and high growth, culminating in 35+ engineers, leads, and team managers across 5 teams developing the Squarespace Commerce Platform. I prepared new leaders as they transitioned from engineers to managers.As the company around us grew, I worked to evolve our culture and developed a workshop ("The Language of Impact") on how to write OKRs and think in an outcome-oriented (rather than task or feature-oriented) way, with the goal of helping all teams better align and focus on shared goals and impact. I taught the workshop to hundreds of employees across Squarespace in every department.

I led the development of Squarespace Commerce as it grew from zero into a platform powering hundreds of thousands of small businesses (in aggregate, transacting billions of dollars of merchandise) and used by millions around the world. We delivered a relentless stream of new features our customers demanded, expanding the scope of the platform to new types of merchants and new markets. Meanwhile, I constantly pushed my team towards simplicity and thoughtful design.

I created Squarespace Commerce, a new product that enabled our customers to launch online stores and build businesses on Squarespace. I spoke to customers, designed the product, engineered, and shipped it.

Tenka launched a real-time local deals service reaching ~40K users in NYC and ~300 merchants. We built a mobile deal redemption process, minimizing merchants’ overhead and requiring no extra equipment. To help merchants more easily enroll, we launched a self-service tool enabling them to design and publish their own deal campaigns without a lengthy and expensive sales process.

As a frontend developer, I created rich web-based interface features for the "Burst Early Literacy" product, allowing teachers to visualize the distribution of student skills throughout their class and to identify clusters of students in need of special intervention. Worked extensively with jQuery, Spring, Hibernate.

Wrote web applications and documentation for software supporting Columbia College.
