After an incredibly fulfilling 7 years of being the CTO of Cake, I decided it's time to move on.I helped hire and train my successor, and then went on a sabbatical until the end of the year.

- Joined as the company's CTO (and first FTE) in 2016- Full-stack developer for the first iteration of the platform (ASP.NET MVC, AngularJS)- Created dev team after ~1 year, hired 3 experienced developers over the next 6 years- Implemented full SDLC with two weeks sprints, interfaced with product as tech lead during sprint planning- Planned and executed hosting platform architecture and optimization- Set up DevOps with Azure Pipelines (CI/CD), Boards (Agile), and Repo (git) and automated build/deploy- Led migration of frontend from AngularJS to React- Responsible for platform compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, etc- Created data warehouse, data analytics platform and ETL pipelines (Azure Data Explorer, ADF, Application Insights)- Hyper-optimized page delivery for SEO and global speed (Google Analytics, Core Web Vitals)- Responsible for platform security (secure architecture, external PEN testing, bug bounties, etc)

- Lead developer for a core product of the suite (PowerSat, part of PowerSuite)- Lead the product from first inception until customer deployment (over 100k seats)- Implemented Agile SDLC, interfaced with product and customer to align requests- Created a secure and scalable software architecture to support customer scale (Fortune 50)

I moved to the US in 2010, and my first job here was to represented CoroWare on client site at MetraTech HQ in Waltham. MetraTech offers a billing solution for very large corporations (mostly Telcos). I was a last-level support technician here, my job was to write small patches for client-specific requests.

Before I moved to the US, I worked as a software developer in Germany for 10 years. I worked for various companies during that time, but my focus was always .NET development "on the internet". The companies I worked for were usually webhosters, or makers of very large customer facing websites.
