Ordained a Permanent Deacon, 8/26/00 by then Bishop William E. Lori, Auxiliary Bishop of Washington D.C. I have been serving the People of God at St. Peters Church, Olney Md. In this capacity my wife Judy and I prepared couples for the Sacrament of Matrimony. Additional to this sacrament, Baptism catechesis is provided for new parents. As deacon, and a member of the clergy, I preach monthy at Masses I am assigned. As part of my deaconal function I serve many liturgical ceremonies and often preside at funeral wake services.Ministry also engages me to respond to the needs of the homebound. Frequently because of my law enforcement background I have been sought to administer legal guidance, suggestions to remedy family problems and offer spiritual guidance to not only parishioners but also to the law enforcement community. I am an Associate Police Chaplain for Montgomery County Law Enforcement under the leadership of Rev. Father Ray Fecteau, Senior Chaplain. I also serve as Associate Chaplain for the Knights of Columbus Council 6793 and Associate Faithful Friar for 4th Degree Sullivan Assembly, Derwood Md. In Ministry I serve the poor and assist the Social Concerns Ministry at St. Peters.I am a former representative of the Archdiocese of Washington Deacon Council, St. Peter's Parish Council and Home and School Association. Currently I am a member of the Sons of St. Peter.

With an end of over 43 years in law enforcement, I can now spend time doing all the things I have put on a back burner. I will continue to serve the People of God at St. Peter's Catholic Church as one of their deacons. It is now time for travel, grandchildren and relaxation!!!

Master Patrol Officer-Lead Officer/FTO. In this capacity of law enforcement, I am responsible to protect a medical community of caregivers and patients who are participating in medical research for a particular illness. Additionally, my duties involve protection against terrorism and breaches in security to the campus where sensitive medical and enviornmental research is being conducted. As a Lead Officer, I am charged with familarity and use of specialized weapons, qualifications, and tactics to ensure safety to the community. Effective 10/01/2014 I am retired as a Federal Police Officer ending a 43 &1/2 years of law enforcement service. In retirement I will continue to serve my parish as a Permanent Deacon assigned to Saint Peter's Catholic Church in Olney Maryland.

During a career than spanned over 32 years, I have been directly involved with several high profile criminal investigations that have brought succesful closure. As a Patrol Training Supervisor, it was my responsibilty to oversee the training and nurturing of newly graduated police officers from the Academy. Acknowledge for service to the community I have been the recipient of several awards, commmendations and letters of appreciation for service rendered to the community where I served. I am a member of the Montgomery County Police Assoication, The Montgomery County Alumni Association, and The Fraternal of Police.
