Using investigative techniques such as window sampling, cable percussive boreholes, test pitting and rotary drilling. Logging soil and rock to EC and UK standards and producing log reports. Identification of potentially contaminated soils and sub sampling for laboratory testing. Preparing method statements and risk assessments prior to commencement of the works.

Temporary site based engineer. Hinkley Point C is a new nuclear power station development. At present I’m responsible for the supervision of deep rotary core borehole investigations using triple tube wire line coring techniques. Primarily responsible for logging of all core samples to UK and EC standards, compilation of weekly log reports.Preparing and compiling ground investigation reports for additional works.

Primarily involved in planning and supervising onshore site investigations for geotechnical assessment of urban and regional environments using full range of investigative techniques. Compiling factual and interpretive geotechnical reports providing recommendations and advice for foundations, slope stability, earthworks, retaining walls. Site monitoring and preparation of verification documents and certification for the earthworks/cleanfill management.
