At The Pulpit Club I would greet and assist members who were arriving to play. This task would include taxiing the members to specific holes, cleaning their clubs, and general conversation and welcoming services. I could also be asked by the head golf pro to assist with any task that would help maintain upkeep and order for members. This could include picking up golf balls on the range or cleaning golf carts.

After years of membership which allowed me to participate in a range of activities, including tennis, squash, and fitness, I joined the Headwaters staff as a member of the Pro Shop, and Front Desk staff. In this capacity, I was responsible for addressing the needs of the members, including payments, club programming, and organisation of scheduling. In addition, I conducted tours for potential members and assisted with the use of the golf simulators.

During the summer of 2021, I worked as a camp counsellor for Headwaters’ Day Camp. I was responsible directly for 10 children, some as young as 5 years old, for one week at the time. These responsibilities included, but were not limited to, planning and participation in games, crafts, and sports. In addition, I assisted the club pro with lessons in tennis and squash.

Due to COVID and the lack of job opportunities, I created my own summer day camp for neighbouring children, including pick-up and delivery of the children, shopping/planning for snacks and lunches, and organising all games (including swimming, soccer, hiking, and indoor games).
