My business is solutions, I'm a problem solver. My motivation in the pursuit of engineering was to better understand technology and build systems that create value for people, companies, and our planet. I completed Electronics Engineering Technology at SAIT Polytechnic in 2011. After graduation I developed a novel way to deploy automated, down-hole oil rig software with Advanced Measurements Inc. I was able to reduce downtime from hours to minutes. In 2013 I both enrolled in the Canadian Forces and Lakehead University's Electrical Engineering program, graduating in 2017. Immediately upon graduation I was self employed with HPG Property Development as my primary client. In their Red River Road headquarters I was solely responsible for their initial suite of technical systems, such as the design and construction of their six meter LED screen, office network infrastructure, and custom building management software. I continue to provide ongoing support for existing systems, and provide technical expertise as required.Throughout my military career I've been in and out of the field in a variety of roles, from large scale NATO exercises to local, skill development events. I've had the privilege of taking some fantastic and unique courses that focus on everything from leadership to extended survival in remote areas.During the Autumn of 2018 I was accepted to an artist' residency in southern Germany based on an acoustic drawing machine created the previous year. Here I created a functioning, mechanical clockwork driven drawing device. My work has been displayed at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery, galleries in Ontario, and is held in private collections in Alberta and Ontario. In 2019 I was accepted to Co-Starter, Thunder Bay's start-up incubator. This was for the development of a novel method of adaptive noise masking, with the intention of giving open office spaces and closed boardrooms alike increased privacy when discussing operations. A low cost, scalable solution. However, at that same time was offered employment with Nordmin Engineering which I was happy to accept. In early 2020 I was offered the outstanding opportunity to create an autonomous bathymetric survey vehicle through the school of Natural Resource Management at Lakehead University. Being presented with the ability to learn something new while working on a unique project with both industry and environmental benefits.
