I an the author of a book on Otto von Guericke (2011) (Thinking about Nothing), co-author with Emeritus Professor H. J. Vollrath of a book in German on the 17th century scientific intelligencer Caspar Schott (Schotts Netzwerk) and co-author of an academic article on Schott (AHSI July 2014). I have extensively translated Schott's correspondence from the original Latin, German and Italian for display on Oxford University;s Early Modern Letters Online site.As of March 2016 I have, in collaboration with Emeritus. Prof. H. Vollrath, completed a 3 year project of transcribing and translating the extant correspondence, comprising some 170 letters, of Caspar Schott, a 17th century disseminator of scientific knowledge and former Professor at the University of Wurzburg. The final results of this project have been two books in German on the correspondence (Schotts Netzwerk, and Schott an Kircher,) an academic article in the journal Archivum Historicum Societatis Jesu and the Caspar Schott Catalogue in the Early Modern Letters Online database.Over the next few years I hope to bring long standing interests in the foundations of mathematics, fractal operating systems and Galilean Relativity to some definite conclusion.I continue to have some modest involvement in teaching Mathematics, Physics and Latin to A level.

  I was responsible for the software design of the TPU box implementing the lower levels of Lucent's RNC. I was the leader of a small group that designed and delivered a "total surround" test harness for this box that could dynamically emulate normal and rogue behaviour of all the boxes surrounding the TPU.
