I began my career in retail working for various fashion brands and moving up to management due to my work ethic and people skills, along this journey I sharpened my customer service skills and switched from retail to insurance. After a few great years of working in the insurance industry I took time off to pursue a lifelong dream of becoming a personal trainer, which I did for a number of years at one of the country’s leading health clubs, I used the flexibility of being self employed to also gain my qualifications as an electrician in order to work alongside my father for his construction company. After the birth of my daughter, with the unsociable hours that being a personal trainer presented, my time with her was limited so, at the ripe old age of 34, I took time to assess my life goals and what was really important to me, which is when I decided I’d love to get back to the insurance industry where I’d thrived previously and make the most of the work/life balance it gave me prior to becoming a personal trainer. The rest as they say, is history. I’ve now been with a claims assessor since December 2019 and am enjoying every minute, I’m looking to continue my progression upwards within the insurance realm and gaining some valuable qualifications along the way.
