Transitioning from a mega-project oriented organization to one that is responding to market changes in project size and addressing digital delivery and reducing our project's carbon footprint, I will be responsible for the technical performance and growth of WSP's Bridges, Civil Structures, Aviation and Roadway design teams.

Tom serves on the Technical Advisory Board, addressing technical development of B2P projects and working with University and Corporate Teams. In this role, Tom is part of the B2P team working to reduce poverty in developing countries by providing access across rivers where non exists or where crossing rivers is dangerous.As a volunteer for B2P, Tom has worked in-country on projects in El Salvador and Bolivia. These include the Chari Chari Bridge, a 160m suspended bridge and the Llapallpani Bridge, a 128-m suspension bridge. Tom led both of these corporate teams in design and construction.

As a Technical Director in the Complex Bridge Group I lead or provide engineering support for signature bridges, complex rail structures, pedestrian bridges or other projects in the Western U.S and Canada. In this role I also coordinate our U.S. work for structures on international projects. .

Lead Structural Engineer for the Texas/Mountain Region. Managing staff and bridge design projects in Texas and the Rocky Mountain states.

Led a group of 20 to 25 engineers and technicians in the design of bridge projects throughout California. This included new interchanges, seismic retrofit projects, reconstruction of segments of the I-880 Cypress Freeway in Oakland and Terminal Separation in San Francisco, and seismic retrofit of the West Bay Spans of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge.
