Thomas has worked in the precious metals, blockchain, investment and funds management industries for around twenty years.His professional portfolio management career spans the foundation of a boutique wealth management firm, TRAC Financial, to the establishment of a highly successful Absolute Return Fund.The appreciation for gold and silver as sound money was developed in the lead up to the Global Financial Crisis around 2008 and lead to the foundation of the Allocated Bullion Exchange Limited and Bullion Capital Limited in 2010. These companies now face some of the largest entities in the precious metals space, along with national governments through our socially impactful Public Private Partnerships (PPPs).Kinesis Money was founded in 2018 after watching and learning the real-world value that blockchain delivers to the world of money, banking and payments. Blockchain presented the ability to realise a dream of reintroducing gold and silver as money again, but this time by the people for the people. As a monetary historian, I had my views as to the challenges gold and silver faced as money, one being Gresham's Law, so we developed a monetary system which is not only highly efficient and secure in the modern-day payments world, but also rewards participants for simply using it. By incentivising the use of gold as money over other currencies, we contend that people will make the decision to use it as money and not just hoard it.Kinesis Money now operates at the retail, business and government levels of society. We have a major PPP in Indonesia and have just secured our second national government PPP. Myself as a Commissioner of the Blockchain Commission for Sustainable Development, have worked extensively with colleagues through the United Nations towards impactful Sustainable Development Goals and have outreach to a broad spread of global leaders.2024 is shaping up to be a big year of corporate and government partnerships for Kinesis. We look forward to continuing to carve out a leading position in the sound money space as we integrate and commercialise across the world.
