This program is a 12 week paid internship for undergraduate students majoring in Finance or Accounting. The internship is at our corporate headquarters in Richfield, MN (Suburban Minneapolis). The finance analyst interns will rotate between a core business team and the supporting FP&A team during their internship, providing them with a well-rounded experience where they will be able to understand different types of finance roles within Best Buy. The internship program provides an outstanding opportunity to understand and influence our business, learn the company systems, and enhance the individuals' technical knowledge, analytical lens and communication skills. The FA will primarily be responsible for delivering decision support and performance management capabilities that will enable their business partners and executive leadership to make timely decisions and achieve desired financial results. Examples of work might include: • Create, analyze and produce components of financial reporting rhythms with identification of risks and opportunities • Aggregate data and change it into usable information • Provide tools to enhance and optimize the business by defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and developing reporting methodologies and processes to identify trends and anomalies • Support business performance management and forecasting by providing understanding and visibility to actual financial results and business drivers • "Test and measure" analyses, such as competitive analysis, new value props, selling model tests and operational enhancements *These roles and work examples are not intended to be exhaustive and the intern may be placed on another team and/or need to perform other duties as assigned.
