Tom's primary goal is to serve as the central financial resource to individuals and families to help simplify, consolidate and plan their financial lives. After helping clients establish and prioritize goals and assigning the appropriate amount of risk, Tom leverages the broad resources of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management to structure client's assets while keeping tax minimization in mind. Going forward, as client goals and market conditions change, Tom will review and adjust clients' assets to help ensure the defined goals are tracking towards success. Common goals of clients are retirement planning, retirement income management, education planning, cash management, liability management, estate planning services and insurance planning. With client's permission, Tom will work with client's CPA and estate planner to help ensure continuity with regard to income taxes and intergenerational wealth transferring. Tom's 25 years of financial services experience started in the institutional money management for 9 years at Putnam Investments and Eaton Vance Management before he moved to wealth management in 2004. He is a graduate of St. Michael's College and has earned a Certification of Financial Planning from Boston University. Tom is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) certificant a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc and also holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ (CRPC™) designation awarded by the College for Financial Planning. He sits on the Alumni Board at St. Sebastian's School in Needham, MA. Tom and his wife Lauren live in Wellesley, MA with their three children, Annie, John and Maggie.
