As a 2019 UCONN School of Pharmacy graduate, I embarked on a career in the cannabis industry, joining Still River Wellness as a licensed dispensary practitioner. In my role as the Dispensary Facility Manager, I oversee a range of crucial functions, including purchasing, inventory management, staff training, compliance, and security. My leadership in these areas enables me to make meaningful contributions to an evolving and impactful industry.Driven by a desire to address the gaps in scientific knowledge and consistency within the cannabis industry, I founded CannaPharmEd—an educational platform designed to revolutionize cannabis education. By integrating a deep understanding of cultivar genetics, COA profiles, and product use trends, I help professionals and patients alike make more confident, informed recommendations, leading to better health outcomes.My journey in the cannabis industry led me to develop a comprehensive cannabis curriculum. This curriculum covers a wide range of topics, from legislation and history to the endocannabinoid system, cannabis chemistry, and the current market landscape. Leveraging my expertise and training as a pharmacist, I am able to present detailed clinical information in a way that enriches students' understanding and application of cannabis in healthcare.I’ve also applied this curriculum in training dispensary staff to deliver high-quality care. Additionally, I teach courses through the Connecticut State College System, including the CPA Pharmacy Tech Training Course, a Medical Marijuana Introductory Course, and a Cannabis Retail Course (Budtender Certificate). Currently, I’m developing an Alternative Wellness Course that incorporates cannabis into holistic medical practices, reflecting my commitment to integrating diverse therapeutic modalities.Fueled by a passion for patient education and advocacy, I established CannaGenie.org, a non-profit website that serves as a Connecticut-specific resource. This platform is dedicated to enhancing patient access to information, empowering them to make informed decisions about their medicine. It offers in-depth cultivar COA profiles, genetic lineages, and a wealth of educational resources, significantly impacting patients' healthcare journey.In 2024, I accepted the role of Pharmacy Manager at Nova Farms, where I’m eager to contribute to the launch of their first Connecticut dispensary. Together, we aim to establish a uniquely robust medical cannabis program, focused on educating and empowering the community through informed, patient-centered care.
