I was made in England and born in England. When I came to Australia with my parents as an imigrant in 1971 50 years ago, I didn't speak one word of English.My parents are mixed marriage. My father Tim Lincoln is 25% German 25% Hungarian and 50% English. My mother is an Asian 100% (Chinese Indonesian). That makes me European Asian 12.5% German, 12.5% Hungarian, 25% English and 50% Chinese. Before their serious full time jobs both my parents worked in modelling and were good looking when they were younger. They passed on some of the good looks to me & my little sister got most of the looks, that also did a bit of modelling. I'm the only one that didn't do modelling because I was scared of the rejection and competition.After coming to Australia in 1971 with only $4,000 in their pockets my parents bought their first home in the salubrious municipality known as Stonnington. The address was 9 Hardy St South Yarra, a double fronted Victorian of 3 bedrooms 1 bathroom. They extended the property themselves and did a tremendously good job adding a second bathroom, and carpeting the newly extended main living area with Wilton carpet (the same carpet used in a Rolls Royce) Because it appeared in the 1973 House and Garden magazine with before and after photos I'd say they did a great job for beginners that had never renovated before.Two years later 1975 my little sister Jasmine Lincoln now Kedenburg living in Hamburg Germany married herself nowadays with 2 kids was born and they bought 2 more houses in the same street, 23 Hardy St and 24 Hardy St. They also bought 4 more houses in Richmond Cubbit St, Madden Grove, Burnley St and a house in the upmarket Richmond Hill area.My mum worked as legal secretary above Patterson Cakes in Chapel St. and my Dad in Marketing and Advertising as well as on TV as a Court Jester Mr Texta. On the weekends and after work as a 5 year old I went with my father to the rental properties to fix them up bcos they're all 100 year old not new that don't need fixing up.It's a miracle the now Commonwealth Bank called something else in 1975 loaned the young couple my parents in their 20's still, so much money for investment properties that they broke a record in lending the most amount of money to a family.In 1980 they bought an old house sitting on about 850sqm of land in Malvern. They demolished it and built a 5 bedroom 27 square 3 bathroom home with a slate roof and pre owned handmade bricks. In 1984 the House was photographed for House and Garden magazine, 13 Glenview Ave Malvern.I started RE in 1975, thats 46 years ago.
