Assistant Vice President For Student Finance And Registration At Excelsior College
Excelsior College, a nonprofit, regionally accredited distance learning institution, strives to remove obstacles to the educational goals of adult learners, and to meet the needs of those traditionally underserved in higher education. The College is a recognized leader in Prior Learning Assessment and degree completion for adult students, and is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. In this most recent role, I am responsible for the creation and strategic implementation of the business plan to centralize student services. The goal is to create a one-stop-shop concept of all student funding sources, payment and registration. Since taking on this role, I have successfully implemented the “One-Stop-Shop” approach to centralized services by combining teams who work collaboratively from four units (Student Financial Aid, Veteran Education Benefits, Bursar and Course Registration) This has achieved an efficient and excellent student experience.The teams I lead administered $53 million in Federal Student Aid, State and institutional scholarships to over 7,000 students. Additionally, we funded over $14 million in Veterans Educational Benefits to 3,800 Veterans and their families. We provided the best funding options to our students.
