I moved to Copenhagen on Christmas eve 1997 to help launch a national weekly newspaper: The Copenhagen Post. Originally working as production manager, I quickly became Guide Editor. I wrote and edited up to 120 pieces per week, a total of 18.000+ reviews/articles/listings (!!), 531 Wednesdays in a row (!!). We started the newspaper because we felt Copenhagen was underrated as a city. The publication never flourished as a business, I pushed for 10 years, but we were right about Copenhagen: the city exploded, culturally & internationally.In September 1998, I created "Distortion - a Celebration of Copenhagen Nightlife", in an underground club under the Tivoli Gardens. In 2000, Distortion became a freeform festival over 5 days in buses, boats, beaches, bridges, backyards, gardens, streets, shops, galleries, bars and nightclubs. The main event was called Final Party, a rave on the Saturday. We were a mobile festival and decided to find a new location every year. We managed this until 2013. I repeat: a new festival location every year for 15 years (!!). And I haven't even mentioned the street parties...In the period 2003-2007, I became a freelance party-maker: I created, promoted or produced dozens of profile events for Natfilm Festival & Cph:Dox, Vice Magazine, Playstation / NordiskFilm, VolksWagen, Adidas, iByen.dk, aok.dk, Royal Theatre, Ambassade de France...In 2008 I established the Nus/Nus Secretariat. "nus-nus" means half/half in dialects of the Sahara.
