• Lead Architect/Developer on NIES application designed for the US EPA.• NIES is a custom web application that allows remote EPA inspectors the ability to perform inspections as needed to support environmental compliance and enforcement. NIES supports the concept of a remote inspector working with a subset of the enterprise data and allows inspector the ability to upload the respective inspection to the enterprise system. • NIES consists of 3 distinct components that share much of the same code set. These components consist of an enterprise application that is deployed in central data center, a data controller in the middle that marshals the data down to the client notebook and back to the enterprise system and a client application that is deployed on the field inspectors notebooks.• Designed and coded many components and supported all components of the system.• Lead Developer on Florida DEP FIRST and SWIFT applications. SWIFT and FIRST are applications that were designed around the first generation remote software data gathering initiative. The concept was to allow remote field inspectors to take their office to the field and have at their fingertips all of the information needed from the enterprise system to do an on-site inspection. These inspections were often in rural areas with no access to the web so the system was designed to export all of the information from the enterprise system prior to the inspection.
