I am a Senior Mechanical Engineer with project management and extensive mechanical design experience. I have always had a passion for complex mechanisms and mechanical assemblies. I grew up taking things apart to see how they worked and sometimes managed to get them to work when I put them back together again. I've always worked on my own vehicles and equipment whenever possible, as I've always wanted to know how the things I use everyday go together and function. While going through school I always had an affinity for math and physics and this coupled with my interest in mechanical assemblies led me towards pursuing a mechanical engineering degree from NC State.During my time at ATI Industrial Automation across an extended Co-Op program and 4 years as a Mechanical Design Engineer, I have led multidisciplinary teams to design, produce, and launch several novel products to market. These have included Force Torque sensors for the general industrial robotics market, as well as custom products for OEM customers requiring a more tailored solution. During this time I have managed my own projects as well as worked alongside other disciplines to foster cohesion of design goals to ensure a successful product launch. This project management experience coupled with my mechanical design knowledge puts me in a strong position to contribute in a wide range of engineering and project management roles.
