Worked as a supervisor overseeing the processing of up to 2,000 tons per day of municipal solid waste generated in eight localities in the Hampton Roads region – Portsmouth, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Franklin, Suffolk, Southampton County and Isle of Wight County. SPSA Power Plant electric generating capacity of 60,000 kilowatts; the equivalent of supplying the electrical needs of 61,000 Virginian homes and provided steam to Portsmouth Ship Yard.

Served as the Navy and Marine Corps Safety and Occupational Health Specialist Department Head concerning High Risk training such as Navy Seal Training, Marine RECON Training, Firefighting(aviation/surface/subsurface) Recruit Basic Training.

Oversaw all combat craft assigned to Navy Seal Teams to include 11MRIB, MK V SOC and Riverine SOC in their modifications and acceptance trials as well as inspections. Hand-Picked by Commodore to fill in as Port Engineer due to sickness of civilian Port Engineer, with absolute responsibility for planning, directing and coordinating with repair contractors, Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Shipyard and Repair for 32-11MRIBs; 12 MK V SOC; 4-PC Class ships and 12-Riverine SOC.

Supervised 64 electricians ranging from E-2 to E-8 estimating time and budgeting for material needs through direct requisitioning spare parts in operation, repair, overhaul and alteration of shipboard electrical systems. Reviewed, monitored and controlled all maintenance that occurred onboard ship preparing and processing work orders/reports for highly complex ship mainenance and repair isssues that had long term impact on ship readiness. Managed completion of 100 ships jobs subervising 80 civilian contractors totaling over 4.5 Million dollars during a predeployment availability completing ahead of schedule to allow additional time for crew training.

Responsible for all ballasting operations and damage control training, hull repair, saltwater systems to include pumps and piping etc for command ship.

Responsible for all main propulsion and auxillary equipment for FFG-7 class ship.

Responsible for all aspects of job order planning for ship availabilities. Responsible for Electrical Repair Shop overseeing electrical repairs onboard afloat ships.

Responsible for the operation of main propulsion and electrical generation equipment for command ship. Took on additional responsibilites as Auxillary Officer due to loss of officer and oversaw all maintenance for auxillary systems.
