-Implemented and modeled the Professional Learning Community concept to staff. This has allowed common planning time and a process to review data to create program improvement plans. -Hire staff members who fit the culture of our organization. Train staff members in job duties and continuously provided support and staff development opportunities. -Developed and communicated to our stake holders a Positive Behavior Intervention and Support program called, “Attitude Makes It Happen” to positively reinforce positive student behavior. This program has created consistent expectations and reduced office referrals by 68%. This program was implemented by me and our PBIS team. -Introduced and trained staff in the Understanding By Design Curriculum Framework to implement Common Core Standards and organize curriculum as set by the State of Wisconsin. This has allowed our staff to plan lessons together to better support each other and share best practices.-Created a schedule to provide daily common planning time for teams to analyze data and create action plans for continuous change. Revised our Student Support Program to eliminate F’s for the first quarter of implementation. -Implemented a Literacy Plan and received an award from AWSA for high reading scores in a population of high poverty. Re-vamped Literacy Plan to respond to budget cuts and addressed the same student needs.-Conducted a Cultural Analysis to create a shared purpose for change. Revised our Mission and Vision to create a common goal for staff.-Coordinated an assessment with staff to focus on selected learning targets, assessment, and content delivery to create a process of continuous staff improvement measured by data. This process has allowed us to create the framework to implement best practices.
