I feel as though I am a very well rounded individual who, through work experience and education, has a diverse and unique skill set you won't find with anyone else. I have worked mainly in the service sector and have learned how to work well with people and communication skills with both consumers and fellow employees. I've been on the front lines I know what its like to work in the trenches and also know what customers like and don't like, this is knowledge and skills that can't be obtained in any school or with any degree. Don't worry though, I also have the skills and knowledge that you can obtain at school or a degree. The two degrees I have obtained cross mainly disciplines and have given me a large set of skills. Critical thinking, research methods, problem solving, time management(I also worked full time while in school) are some of the many relevant skills I acquired through these degrees. I also have performed both independent and group research projects that involved both qualitative and quantitative research.I was also intern for a United States congressman where I learned basic office skills and etiquette and how to communicate well with both the public and fellow employees. Over the last four years I have also been an election judge/supervisor for the Jefferson County Clerk's Office which has taught me management and organization skills. Being an election judge and intern has allowed me to learn how to be an employee in the public sector which requires different skills and differs greatly from being a private sector employee. With my employment history I know the expectations of both a private and public sector employee and the how the requirements differ between the two.I am looking for a full time position at any level, entry or management and really would like to have a career vs. a job. Ultimately when I clock out I want to feel like I actually contributed something that day and have a sense of fulfillment at the end of the day.
