- Approve checklists for lifeboats, on-load release gears and launching device inspections- Issue official certificates of serviceability for annual or 5-year inspections and write full inspection report- Proceed to preventive and curative maintenance to improve equipment functioning and safety- Fleet and vessel agreements for follow-up, levelling of maintenance work load and cost- Fit spare parts to maintain equipment in good condition- Technical support to refit / repair, as well as for water bag rental, re-hooking, OEM spare parts for all manufacturers and spare parts to original specifications- Specific trainings on lifeboats, rescue boats and davits use- Dedicated trainings on lifting equipment/winches, towing winches, anchors, capstans, etc.- OPITO (Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organization) training sessions

- Planning and preparing meals in accordance with crew schedules- Managing inventory, ordering supplies within budget constraints- Ensuring cleanliness and upkeep of galley equipment and utensils, implementing and adhering to health and safety protocols- Regular inspection of machinery, bilge, pump rooms, and tanks- Ensure engine room is neatly kept & equipment is properly stowed- Examination of equipment such as turbines, condensers, and pumps and record or report the findings to the engine officers- Support maintenance supervisors in servicing all rig power-producing equipment along with all fuel, water, air, cooling, and heating systems- Ensure that all unfinished repairs and projects are completed within the specified time frame- Ordering tools and replacing spare parts- Stand security-related watches, such as a gangway watch or anchor watch while the ship is not underway- Perform general maintenance, repair, sanitation and upkeep of material, equipment, and areas in the deck department- Maintain ship's metal structures by chipping, scraping, cleaning, priming, and painting and clean/repair the hull, decks, superstructure, cargo gear, and smoke stack- Perform maintenance on lifeboats, rescue boats and life rafts, and emergency and damage control gear.- Operate deck machinery, such as the windlass or winches while mooring or cast off, and to operate cargo gear- Crane operator, responsible for loading and unloading containers with supplies for island residents and luggage for passengers

- Assist with any planned maintenance work and repair of ship engines, machinery, and equipment- Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks under the guidance of senior engineers- Assist in operating pump and fuel systems, distribution and electrical generating equipment, air conditioning plants, refrigeration systems, and cranes and lifts- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures- Participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skills- Taking note of daily logs from the equipment in the engine room- Taking soundings- Helping to keep watch in the engine room- Cleaning, painting and greasing equipment
