Worked on developing multi functional surfaces that would have antifouling and antibacterial properties. Cultured various strains of bacteria for testing. Constructed a bio reactor to test bacterial growth on surfaces under flow conditions at body temperature. Worked with different characterization machines such as fluorescent microscopy and scanning confocal laser microscopy, plate reading, and infrared spectroscopy.

Research focused on the synthesis of transition metal oxides which could be applied to different applications such as solar cells and lithium ion battery electrodes. Learned how to operate a chemical vapor deposition reactor for metal oxide sample synthesis. Familiar with characterization techniques such as Scanning Electron Microscopy and X-Ray Diffraction.
