Since 2006, I have been a radiation oncologist at the Moffitt Cancer Center (Tampa, FL), where I am director of the Thoracic Malignancies Section of our department. I also specialize in clinical research in the radiotherapeutic management of thoracic malignancies. I have special expertise in the use of stereotactic body radiotherapy as well as strong interests in motion management issues, theragnostic imaging, and normal tissue dose constraints. I have a Master's Degree in Information Technology, with a specialization in bioinformatics and data science. I have a strong interest and expertise in "big data," particularly around the development of database structures to encompass vast data repositories.I participate in various national committees for ASTRO. I have served as an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, and Physics (Thoracic Malignancies section). I have also served as a member of the Lung Cancer Steering Committee and Symptom Management Committee at RTOG. I am assuming the role of Vice-Chair of ASTRO's Annual Meeting Education Committee in September, 2019.Since January, 2011, I have directed the Radiation Oncology Residency Program at the University of South Florida/Moffitt Cancer Center.
