I started in July in a customer service role. My responsibilities included cash handling/cashiering, stocking shelves, food preparation and cleaning as required. I was in this role until November of 2012 when I was promoted to Assistant Manager.With the new job role my duties still included my original responsibilities, but also extended to include bookkeeping on Sundays and as needed by the manager. My new duties were HR (hiring, interviews, etc.), Training new employees, checking in vendors and placing orders, managing inventory, and taking deposits to the bank.

I started working for ASIST Translation Services as an English proofreader after my Aunt had shown me some of her work; I was intrigued immediately. I have a strong attention to detail and this seemed like an ideal job. At the time the company had a contract with Abbott Nutrition and we did a good amount of work on the Ensure, Glucerna and Pediasure range and hospital grade liquid nutrition.I provided proofreading services which included making sure every word was spelled correctly, everything was in the correct font, all the Trademark and Copyright symbols were present and aligned correctly, ensuring the Nutrition Facts panel was true and correct and adhered to FDA guidelines, and reporting any errors to the Coordinator. I was working on an as needed contractor basis and when Abbott restructured their company; splitting the Hospital Nutrition and Foodstuffs departments in two, ASIST lost the contract to Proofread for Abbott. The loss of the contract to ASIST resulted in my contract no longer being required.
