Boeing Construction Project Manager Demo and replace Apron R at the 737 Airplane Production Renton Plant. The existing 14 acre Apron was constructed in the early 1940's. Apron R is a key infrastructure component in the aircraft production and delivery line and must remain operational throughout construction. The replacement of pavement and subgrade improvements provide the opportunity to replace all underground infrastructure including stormwater collection, conveyance systems, oil control facilities and water quality treatment. Renton Site is a 3 shift, 5 days a week operation with some weekend work..

San Antonio, Texas

Manage QA team and processes for Client during project pre-planning, pre-construction, construction and commissioning of new Data Center Project. Project consists of 8 Data Center Buildings, 2 buildings per phase, a dedicated substation of 200 megawatts, 50 megawatts per phase.

Negotiate all permits with County officials and utility providers Prepare, award and manage design & construction contracts for roads and utilities.Review and approve all invoice payments.Work through the DOE process and approval for Class B wells drilled on site.

Managed construction and sub consultant contracts for Boeing Realty Corporation during construction of roadway & utility infrastructure at 250 acre Pacific Gateway Business Park in addition to follow on development of the Boeing, Kent Space Center Campus. Developed study and made recommendations on demolition and upgrades to aging infrastructure within Boeings Kent Facility.Negotiated and awarded all subcontracts.Provided regular Project Status Presentations to Company Executives

Managed a team of up to 30 Construction Management field personnel; assigned to Boeing Fabrication Division at Auburn, Portland, Frederickson, and Spokane sites. Average $40,000,000 per year construction project costs. Work included T.I.’s to existing buildings, new manufacturing facilities and upgrades to support equipment and infrastructure. During this time I also managed the internal Union group known as the General Construction Unit, (G.C.U.).

Frederickson, Wa

Senior level Project Manager for engineering and construction teams during the multiphase “fast-track” design and construction of the new Boeing Frederickson Site. Fifteen months after ground was broken for the $400 million, 935,000 sq. ft. Skin and Spar Facility, the first parts were cut. The new $187 million, 400,000 sq. ft. Composites Facility followed and was completed in 1993 below budget and ahead of schedule.

Successfully managed the project team during the construction of a $4,000,000 Secured, “Tempest” style Military Advanced Project Conferencing Facility and a 30,000sf class-one, division-one Paint Process Facility for the V-22 Tilt Rotor Helicopter .

Managed Renton Division major expansion projects including oversight of contractor selection, contracts administration, and construction activities. Major projects included 380,000sf Duwamish Park Office Complex, 181,000sf Park Plaza and the 250,000sf Garden Plaza Corporate Office Building which included a three story; 1,341 stall parking garage. Buildings were leased by Boeing so Tenant Improvements (T.I.’s) had to be tracked and priced individually.

Seattle, Wa

Managed $45,000,000 in five month duration; “fast track construction” of Oxbow Corporate Park. Project included 432,000sf Manufacturing building, 192,000sf office building, and a 15,000sf cafeteria facility. Started on June 12, Eighty days later on September 1st, BMAC began installing tools and moving furniture in. The projects at its peak employed 575 people on 24 hour shifts. Again Boeing leased the property so that all T.I.’s had to be priced and negotiated with the property owner.

Vandenberg Afb, Ca

Monitored and documented $10,000,000 in construction activities to retrofit electromagnetic shielding to the Space Shuttle payload preparation bays. The purpose was to provide security for Government interests while they were pursuing commercial applications for the Space Shuttle.

Prudhoe Bay, Ak

Responsible for monitoring subcontract union personnel during construction of $900,000,000 Low Pressure Separation System (LPS-1) in San Francisco, included construction of 16 Modules and 13 Pipeways some as tall as ten stories and weighing up to 550 Tons and followed them onto Prudhoe Bay, AK to manage the subsequent installation. “LPS-1” represented the first modules to start extracting Natural Gas, Compressing it and shipping it to the “lower 48”.

Kent, Wa

Field monitor and manage files of all subcontractor activities (RFI’s, F.O.’s , Change Orders) during construction of the $32,000,000 Boeing Computer Center which includes 158,000sf of secured office/computer space, diesel auxiliary power generation systems, and installation of Boeing’s main frame computer system.

Wppss, Satsop, Wa.

Field monitoring of subcontract personnel during construction of Nuclear Reactors #3 and #5 at the Satsop Nuclear Site, including assembly of turbine building, placement of Turbines and responsible for placement of all embeds during slip-form construction of the 2 containment vessels.
