Editing that goes beyond language.I'm a second-year Bachelor of Arts student at the University of Newcastle with a major in English and Writing. My main interests fall under creative writing, though my editorial skills are relevant across genres. I've been an avid reader for as long as I can remember and have read broadly across Fantasy and Sci-fi genres. Whilst I have yet to gain official experience within the industry as a professional, I have spent a lot of time editing fellow students' creative and academic pieces. I have operated as a copy editor, structural editor and proofreader.As an editor, my main goal is to help the author realise the full potential within their characters and worlds. I reconstruct sentences for further clarity, ensure characters stay true to themselves and worlds remain consistent .
