Been working within Game Engines and with games software since school, beginning in Flash games and moving on to Animation/Modelling for Games in college. Eventually I found my passion resided in games design, and went on to study for my bachelors at Teesside University. Then worked at McDonalds/Lidl/Support Worker/Videographer/General Labourer/Anything someone will pay me to do for some 10 years after University as I needed a job always so I took what I could when I could.Over the last few years my partner has finished her degree and has a good wage and I finally found the time to organize a profile, send out my CV and attempt to break into the industry. I had kept up my passion for the subject all these years, taught myself a number of languages, Javascript, C#, Python and was lucky enough for someone to recognize this.Sprung picked me up as an intern that I passed quickly and was promoted to engineer. During my time as an engineer I was lucky enough to work alongside some incredibly talented people who supported me through the steps of my first project (AAA, no less!) and helped mould the sporadic knowledge I had into something professional and more organised.

Ui EngineerSprung Studios - Ux/Ui Design Jan 2022 - Sep 2022Brighton, England (Remote)First break into the industry, where I got to meet some incredibly talented people. Loved my work there, loved the people and cannot express enough how hard it was walking away. Adapted to UE, learned C++. Was a part of a AAA title working with an outside client who boasts 60+ people on the project as my first project! Adored my work there, but sadly circumstances got in the way and I ended up being unable to make the relocation.Truly a wonderful experience, -
Ui Engineer InternSprung Studios - Ux/Ui Design Dec 2021 - Jan 2022Brighton, England, United KingdomInternship was spent transferring skills I knew in Unity over to Unreal. Was a great experience, guided by some of the finest talent I have seen during my brief time in the industry. They helped fill in the gaps I missed from working solo projects a lot (Source Control as a key point) and gave me a much better understanding of what it takes to build a project and how to make sure you build it well from the start. -
Games Design And Development GraduateTeesside University Sep 2012 - Feb 2015Teesside, MiddlesbroughBachelors in Game Design and Development. Taught me a lot about the industry and some key points to look for, was a part of a selected team to produce a game to be published (That was sadly cancelled for other reasons) in my third year. My personal project was on how we can monitor players during playtesting to give us more meaningful data. Heatmaps etc.
