I am a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania and the Executive Director of Penn Restorative Entrepreneurship Program (PREP) which is aimed at helping formerly incarcerated individuals to become entrepreneurs, participate in civic engagement, and advocate for social justice. In conjunction with this, I teach Mass Incarceration meets Social Impact Entrepreneurship. In this course, students work with recently decarcerated individuals on developing business plans for new social businesses. I also teach at Penn courses on the History and Philosophy of Social Work, Economics for Social Policy and Introduction to Research Methods. I currently serve on the advisory board of the Social Justice Initiative at Bryn Mawr College where I formerly taught. I have taught Social Impact Entrepreneurship for Villanova University at a maximum security men's prison. I have also taught classes during the summer at the Copenhagen Business School on Social Impact Finance and Investing. I retired in 2017 from Wells Fargo after a long career as First Vice President of Investments.I earned a PhD in Social Work and Social Research from Bryn Mawr College where I also earned a Master's degree in Law and Social Policy. I completed my Bachelor’s and Master's degrees in Psychology from Villanova University. I am a licensed social worker (LSW). My wife Janice and I live in Ardmore and are the proud parents of two fine young men, Tommy and Sean.
