I am currently a Research Assistant for the Roy Wilkins Center for Human Relations and Social Justice in the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. I am pursuing my Doctorate in the Department of Applied Economics at the College of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resource Sciences of the University of Minnesota. CurrentNote: Timing of TA positions are intermittent As TA for PA 5021 Economics for Public Policy and Planning (1), I have taught students the foundations of economic theory. I have designed study guides, lesson plans, and test questions, and taught classes at the Master's level. I worked in conjunction with the professor to design a classroom setting that was conducive to learning economic material. Subjects included introduction to the microeconomics of the household, introduction to the microeconomics of production, introduction to labor policy, and introduction to game theory.As TA for PA 5022 Economics for Public Policy and Planning (2), I have taught students how to apply the techniques of economic analysis to answer questions about the intersection of race and crime. I have designed study guides, lesson plans, and test questions,and have taught classes at the Master's level. Subjects included trends in literature on crime and race, the economics of racial profiling, econometric analysis and gun violence, and the econometrics of racial discrimination in bail setting.As TA for PA 5920: Data Visualization, I have prepared materials and led classes that taught students the basics of data visualization theory, and how to apply these techniques using R-Studio and Microsoft Excel.

In this summer position, I provide research that speaks to the accuracy of our tax policy's representation of the tax code, model descriptive statistics in SAS, SQL, and R, and generally assist the Property Tax division.
Financial Analyst
My cheif responsability is to track and manage financial information provided from program partners to ensure that business managers have accurate data to form their strategies. I also manage internal databases used for budgetary analysis. I also use SQL to create new programs and databases for more complicated budgetary variance analysis, automating out dated procedutres, and tracking operational information.
