I managed and directed the Verizon FiOS Project in Lewisville, Texas. AFL was under contract with Verizon during this project.

I began my career with GTE Florida as an Installer-Repairman, a position I held for 7 years. I transferred to the OSP Construction Department in Feb. 1980 and held the position of cable splicer. As a cable splicer, I performed such job duties as cable splicer, cable repairman/maintenance, air pressure technician, a job that I also held for 7 years. I was promoted into management for GTE as a Cable Maintenance - Service Supervisor. I held this position for approximately. 15 months. I was also an OSP Engineer, 3 years; OSP Construction Coordinator, 3 years; Systems Administrator (ICGS), 1 year 9 months; Section Manager, Infrastructure Provisioning-Support, 2 years; and my last 4 years as a Section Manager – OSP Engineering, Clearwater/St. Petersburg Districts. I retired from this position in March 2002. GTE merged with Bell Atlantic in 2000 and the company became Verizon Florida, Inc.
