I pride myself on my strong work ethic, attention to detail, organization and relentless pursuit to constantly grow and further educate myself within my line of work. I take great pride in my current role as the county's hazard mitigation and disaster recovery manager. This position has allowed me to learn many aspects of hazard mitigation such as the grant processes (state and federal), planning and oversight of projects. The disaster recovery manager side of the job has allowed me to learn the process of completing county-wide damage assessments post event (weather or human-made disasters), joint assessments, recovery planning and the process of obtaining federal recovery funds for public and private members of the county I am employed in. I have also worked on planning projects within the emergency management responsibilities and daily activities. Emergency response trainings, certification and mitigation efforts are another facet of the current position I hold.
