My current role is to develop a Clinical Engineering department into a functional department within the hospital. Develop and maintain the asset register to keep track of all the reactive and preventative maintenance for medical equipment. I source and arrange the service contracts for clinical equipment and maintain the contracts register for clinical engineering. As part of my role i am involved in the procurement, specification of new equipment for clinical use as a result of this I initiated an equipment replacement program to identify and replace medical equipment most in need of replacement. I also perform acceptance testing, commissioning of new equipment for the hospital and decommissioning of old equipment as necessary.

Hinchingbrooke

While at Hinchingbrooke my duties were to provide maintenance and preventive maintenance for a wide range of electro-medical, imaging, optical and other equipment in respect of its functional, electronic, optical, electrical and mechanical aspects to a standard of safety, accuracy, and reliability while also maintaining records of equipment and parts consistent with BSI standards on a daily basis. To continuously develop and maintain ongoing test procedures for preventive maintenance of current and incoming new devices as necessary. Also to contribute as appropriate to the procurement, specification, acceptance testing, decommissioning, commissioning and safety assessment of new & existing that equipment for the trust.

Dublin

While I was was on work placement my duties included but were not limited to repairs, quality assurance and servicing of medical devices, such as syringe drivers, ventilators, diathermy & vital signs monitors and recording all work done in the items service history according to SOP.

Baldoyle, Dublin

While I worked at Niche my duties included dispensing materials of specific mass and staging them to be blended together for the production of pharmaceuticals. I also had to document and review all material that came through my area according to GMP and SOP. I also had to clean down the dispensing room and equipment at the end of shift or when the product was being changed.

Leixlip, Co.Kildare

I started at Intel as a production operative in Gasonics. I then moved into Metal Etch where I progressed to the position of Level 2 Process Technician and I was also appointed the cluster coordinator. My duties included the Quality control and Quality assurance of product and the manufacturing equipment in my area according to ISO while operating to SOP. I was also appointed the designated Peer trainer for Metal Etch. Leasing with the Engineering department and shift management for the most efficient running of the equipment and scheduling of equipment maintenance down time and general day to day planning of the area.The processing on product across all of Etch including Gasonics, TEL, LRC & Wet Etch. I was also the designated Peer trainer for Metal Etch.
