 Converted Kings Cove Resort on Table Rock Lake Missouri, my sister’s resort, from a 20-cabin resort property to individual lakefront homes, in close collaboration with Stone County planning and zoning. Managed the sale of each of the homes along with the sale of connected boat dock slips.

 Contract project design manager for a food and beverage client responsible for the oversight and coordination of the scope development, detailed engineering and procurement of $200 million capacity expansion plants, two facilities. Directed and was accountable for all aspects of the design effort on the project for the disciplines assigned including conformance of project systems and components with all relevant project criteria. Responsible for coordination among disciplines and conformance to corporate standards for design documents (calculations, drawing and specification production). Directed and was accountable for criteria acquisition from the client, distribution to the project organization and communicating appropriate responses following review. Operated as primary client interface during design. Responsible for design scope change definition and management and impact to schedule and financial performance. Provided technical and administrative direction on engineering department managed project.  Effectively interacted with inter-departmental team members, including the operations staff at the facilities, outside support vendors and consultants. Ensured compliance with engineering related federal, state and local regulatory standards and directives.

 Responsible for business development, planning, estimating, and control of renewable biogas energy chemical project venture management, project management, front end loading, engineering, procurement, construction management, startup, business planning, project development, preliminary engineering, process selection, project economics, contractor selection, contracts, regulations compliance, project control, and communications. Raised $22.5 million equity in a 100% equity capital structure for the renewable biogas energy chemical construction project.  Set up the organizational structure for the new renewable energy site, including owner, process technology, equity, engineering, procurement, and construction management, commodity and renewable energy credit off-taker, feedstock supply, and operations and maintenance. Completed the acquisition of the renewable biogas energy initial development from a renewable energy developer. Implemented the JS Meyer Engineering patented mesophilic-thermophilic tandem digester process technology to convert dairy waste into biogas. Collaborated with engineering, equipment suppliers, contractors/subcontractors and specialty consultants in project proposals. Lead engineering and purchasing to prepare request for proposals for equipment and material supply packages and construction bid packages. Monitored and controlled cost elements of budget. Lead the preparation of purchase orders to vendors and suppliers for awarded equipment and material supply packages and contractors/subcontractors for construction bid packages; review and approve payments in a thorough and timely manner. Coordinated information between design team, contractors, suppliers and client to ensure that project objectives are met during each phase of the project. Monitored quality of design and drawings and acted as liaison between owner, contractor, supplier, designer and engineer to identify problems and resolve issues efficiently.

 Envision, create, startup, economically sustain and grow large-scale chemical and biogas energy facilities new business in renewable biogas energy market sector. Authored and implemented the company’s strategic plan and, energy and chemical producer business plan, which included 5-year forecast of revenue and EBITDA margin. Chief negotiator in connection to a biogas energy master agreement with the largest hog producer in the world. Negotiated 100% ownership of nine (9) separate high EBITDA margin biogas energy operating facilities for Roeslein Alternative Energy of Missouri, LLC (RAEM), 20-year term. Negotiated $250 million in engineering and construction for the parent company Roeslein & Associates, Inc. Created substantial social community benefit and environmental value for the hog producer company. Developed corporate management procedures in connection to customer, regulation, contracting, quality management system (QMS), project management, project control, execution planning, process technology, process engineering, permit, market analysis, profitability index, pro forma, finance, engineering, construction, and operations & maintenance (O&M). Built and managed a knowledgeable, experienced, diverse, and cohesive team of highly skilled experts from more than 20 industry-leading firms with large depth of resource efficiently applied to meet business and environmental objective. Managed Veolia Water Engineering, Ford Bacon & Davis Engineering, and JS Meyer Engineering. Spearheaded profitability index anchored development with Veolia Water North America of a process technology adapted to site specific condition to convert all raw materials into finished products, meet customer’s business and environmental objective and RAEM performance expectation, and improve biogas energy throughput by more than 30 percent as compared to proposed technology. Reduced the biogas energy facilities connected load by 30,800-hp through process simplification.

 Emerging process technology. Hand-picked by CEO as venture manager with full planning, estimating, and control responsibility of large-scale 2nd generation enzymatic hydrolysis ethanol emerging technology development and commercialization. Provided hands-on leadership and management of a diverse team of scientists, business developers, engineers, constructors, and production operations. Capital optimization. Spearheaded a capital cost reduction and operating cost reduction of large-scale ethanol plant to pivotal areas of process, process utilities, wastewater treatment, biomass handling, process boilers, and infrastructure and layout, thereby markedly improving renewable energy facility’s NPV, IRR, EBITDA margin, and techno-economic risk profile. EPC contracting. Negotiated a reduction of a capital-intensive EPC fixed cost contract by 20 percent. Finalized EPC contract cost, schedule, and throughput performance guarantee wrap. Business development. Concurrently led the development and proprietary process technology implementation of three100 million-gallon ethanol plants in Kansas, Illinois and Indiana with a combined total capital cost of more than $500 million.

Project managed engineering teams in highly regulated process industries with customers, including Mallinckrodt Chemical, Monsanto Chemical, Boeing, and Kraft Foods.

Qualified as Engineer Officer (department head billet) by Naval Reactors and Department of Energy. Served as Quality Assurance Officer (QAO) for nuclear and subsafe component repair, officer of the deck (OOD) underway, ship’s duty officer (SDO) in port, engineering officer of the watch (EOOW) underway, engineering duty officer (EDO) in port, and mechanical and electrical division officer (DO). Nominated for Submarine Squadron 16 junior officer of the year. Conducted daily briefings at COMSUBLANT Norfolk, Virgina to the four-star admiral assigned in connection to Atlantic fleet ballistic missile submarine operations.
