Leads the Tenor Drum Section of Sound Wave: The Official Marching Band of Sounders FC. In 2009, minority owner Drew Carey conceptualized an ensemble made up of traditional marching percussion and brass instruments to bring the spirit of Sounders FC to life. The 43-person band plays custom arrangements from all genres of music including rock, pop, Latin, funk, and big band. Incorporating choreography and musicians from a variety of musical backgrounds, Sound Wave can be found at Sounders FC home matchdays and entertaining the local community at parades, charitable events, and corporate functions.The band is comprised of trumpets, mellophones, trombones, baritones, sousaphones, and a drumline.

- Developed test plans to meet aircraft certification requirements while optimizing for safety, cost, and efficiency- Assessed aircraft stability and control, handling qualities, flight dynamics, aircraft performance, and flutter- Led multi-disciplinary engineering teams through critical high-risk flight test operations to meet customer performance targets- Monitored critical aircraft parameters during high-risk tests while onboard the aircraft or in telemetry to ensure the safety of the flight crew and validity of test data- Created analytical tools in VBA and Python to streamline post-flight data analysis and simulation work (saved four hours per report which equates to approximately 20 hours per week saved)- Interfaced directly with FAA, JCAB, and EASA to define test requirements, flight permits, and test airspace- Improved and utilized engineering flight simulator to mitigate test card risk and schedule risk and reduce required flight time and cost - Prepared and published certification reports and worked with FAA personnel on a variety of aircraft: B737, B757, MRJ90, MD87, A319, A320, C680, G200 - Developed and reviewed test cards, risk hazard analyses, and instrumentation requirements - Supported flight test activities both locally and on travel rotations to international and domestic test facilities

- Assisted customer by helping in the selection of various wind tunnel testing techniques to optimize test time- Troubleshot and maintained Visual Basic software used to acquire and reduce customer data- Designed and machined parts to quickly solve problems encountered during the test campaign- Assisted in the design and manufacturing of wind tunnel models in partnership with Boeing and NASA to test emerging aviation technologies- Used a wide array of flow visualization techniques to gain a better understanding of low-speed aerodynamics

- Designed and built a mechanized water tunnel test model to validate aerodynamic hypotheses using dye flow visualization- Used MATLAB and structural analysis theory to determine adequate part material and sizing- Developed software used for test execution and data acquisition - Worked with a team of engineers during the wind tunnel testing process to validate CFD models- Reviewed test data for accuracy, quality, and fidelity to support the preparation of technical reports

- Assisted Prof. Robert Winglee, Chair of Department of Earth and Space Sciences - Used SolidWorks to design a test stand for the Pulsed Plasma Thruster and selected component materials, with cost and ease of production in mind- Used LabVIEW and MATLAB to run experiments and take data- Gained an understanding of electromagnetism and plasma physics, and their applications to space propulsion

- Assisted Prof. Dana Dabiri and Prof. Gamal Khalil- Designed and constructed the testing apparatus for gathering data on pressure/temperature sensitive beads- Used spectrometers in conjunction with SpectraSuite software to perform spectral analysis on new samples- Made the process for taking spectral analysis much more efficient and accurate
