I know what you're thinking. An archaeologist, how can you fit in outside of this profession? Yes I work in a very specific role but my position on top of my university degree, has allowed me to develop a range of skills that I can apply to a variety of professional environments. I am currently a Site Supervisor with AC Archaeology. I have been promoted in my time with this company and have held this current position for over 3 yrs. This current role has given me the opportunity not only to work independently running jobs by myself, but has given me the responsibility of managing others. Depending on work load, I also have the chance to work under site managers, meaning that I can work under a range of circumstances and am very flexible in terms of working independently, as a team or in charge of a team. With a busy workload, I constantly work to deadlines and am able to use initiative and prioritise appropriately in order to finish jobs on time, stressing my organisational skills. I also am responsible for writing reports based on completed jobs where required, thus am keeping in touch with my IT skills and remaining IT compotent. I always welcome new challenges, and am committed to facing anything head on.
