In addition to managing the company’s operations, Tom’s major firm accomplishments include expanding the New York facility and spearheading the company’s plant opening in Cary, NC, in 1980. He expanded the North Carolina facility in 1984 and then permanently relocated to the area in 2002 to focus his energy and efforts on the plant. Those efforts resulted in the development of strategic alliances with manufacturing plants in Asia. Developed through a consumer product, the mutually beneficial relationship has enabled Syracuse Plastics to manufacture in Asia while increasing jobs at the company’s plant in Cary, NC. Tom’s current efforts include leveraging this alliance process with other Syracuse Plastics customers.Tom is adept at maintaining customer relationships through a consistent and superior focus on customer service. He also maintains a constant pulse on the marketplace, ensuring that Syracuse Plastics is positioned to rapidly respond to the varying changes and needs of their market. Prior to Syracuse Plastics, Tom served in the United States Air Force and continued concurrently with Syracuse Plastics in the Air National Guard as a pilot with the 138th Tactical Fighter Squadron for nine years. He is a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers in addition to his affiliation with the World Trade Conference. Tom holds a bachelor of science degree in microbiology and a master’s of business administration degree from Syracuse University.
